| MAY 2008 Marc Almond will be joining Jools and his Rhythm & Blues Orchestra on tour for the rest of the year. Marc first came to the public's attention as one half of the electro duo Soft Cell in the early 1980s; their biggest hit, Tainted Love, was number one all over the world and is in the Guinness Book Of Records as spending the longest time in the U.S. Top 100. Marc re-recorded his song Say Hello Wave Goodbye with Jools in 2001 for the platinum-selling Friends album. Imelda May, Mark Flanagan, Christopher Holland, and Bunter's Band have been confirmed as support acts for the Summer Tour. Jools' show on Radio 2 is back on the air and runs through to Monday 23rd June 2008. The current series of Later... showcases a brand new format: a half-hour show broadcast fully live on Tuesdays, followed by the usual one-hour show on Fridays. |
